Still having problems with IAS going to 0 kts.

Even though I have the option set in FSUIPC to limit the icing to 3, I still experience my airspeed showing 0 kts in some situations. I have the latest FSUIPC, the pitot heat and engine heat is also on. Is anyone else seeing this?

Hi,it happens to me too, altough randomly. If you have AS2004, one possibile cure to this problem is to prevent all icing (not realistic, I know).Or, when it happens, try to change views (spot for example) and you should get rid of this problem in about 5-10 seconds.Hope this helps.

good to know I'm not the only one. I am in fact using AS2004, I guess I'll set it so to prevent all icing. I think it's a big problem because when it happens you end up either going too fast or too slow which on takeoff or landing is usually disastrous.

That certainly is strange...I use AS2004 as well, together with a registered FSUIPC.I did NOT set any ice preventing, not in AS2004 and not in FSUIPC. And still I've never had the problem with Pitot-Icing... So must be something else then? But if you loose IAS indication, don't panic and practice some pitch/power flying! It is essential to know some of the pitch/power values and is part of every pilot's simulator training. As real as it gets, isn't it? :)Markus

Yes, it is, but it's an FS9 bug, not an AS one. It sometimes happens even with the default planes (which anyway I very very seldom use).Happy flights !

I had this using FSMETAR and FS 9.1 patch. Not related to any specific aircraft. It dind't matter if it was the PSS A32S or the PMDG 737, it stalled at FL or on final approach.I reverted back to FS 9.0. All is well again. No stalls at all.CheersMartin

Hi,I'm using FS9 without any patch and it's still happening. But if I change views, it goes away in few seconds. If it happens at altitude, the Machmeter still works, the A/P and A/T will maintaing speed and attitude even if IAS goes to zero (to 45 kts, that's the lower limti of the anemometer).

I'm running fs9 without a patch too. I don't really care if it happens at cruise level, but on takeoff and approach it usually leads to either a stall or extreme overspeed....where can I get some pitch/power settings charts?
