I too am baffled by this very same problem. When I choose a runway given to me by MSFS ATC that is different from my flight plan, I don't seem to be getting the right STAR and I end up having to do a manual approach. Can someone please enlighten us as to the correct step-by-step FMC procedure when being directed to a different rwy? The tutorial is incredibly vague on this topic. Somebody pls help!
