  1. >at least in the 744(F) if you activate the keyboard entry>mode, F1-F6 controls the left LSKs and F7-F12 control the>right ones.>>-BrianThanks BrianI hadn't got the PMDG 744(F) product yet and didn't know about this option. It would be great if PMDG could give their other 737 and 747 versions in some future release the capability of this option for giving F1-F12 key control of the CDU LSK buttons while running in the CDU keyboard entry mode. This would be great and give me what I'm looking for. Thanks,Michael Day
  2. Hello PMDGWith the PMDG commands keyboard assignments there are options to make key combination assignments for the CDU function and mode keys (i.e. INIT REF, RTE, CLB, ... etc.) but there isn't an option availble to make key combination assignments for the 6 left and 6 right LSKs. Is there another way to make these key combination assignments for the LSKs? If not, are there plans to make the ability to do these LSK keyboard assignment in a future PMDG release? This would be great, to give us the ability to make full keyboard operation of the CDU, versus needing to do mouse control of the LSKs. and NO, I'd love to have one, but I don't have the extra big $$$ to buy the fancy Engravity CDU hardware gear. ThanksMichael Day
  3. Hi TerryThanks for this post explaining the PMDG SIDSTAR updates, along with all your good work in putting together the DAFIF data to build these SIDSTAR updates .... and for writing the PMDG How to make Terminal Procedures document! When you prepare these SIDSTAR files for the PMDG Navigation data download page, do you ? or could you ? include all the revised SID/STARS/IAP procedure files that have been uploaded to the NavData web site, like what is included in the NavData AIO file? This could be a big help, as it would save many of us the time and bother of subsequently needing to go to NavData to get all these revised SIDSTAR files.-----------on a related topicI posted the following question / enhancement request on the PMDG support forum yesterdayhttp://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...id=70311&page=2that asks PMDG about the missing capabilities in the FMC/CDU Departure procedure page, where the selection of a STAR will trigger the display of only the corresponding available runways for the selected STAR ( and visa versa). So far, there hasn

Hi BobI don't understand why this button isn't work'n for you. It doesn't matter what CHProducts yoke button that you want to use.I suggest first with your FS running, select the PMDG dropdown menu from the FS menu bar and select General > Keyboard Commands ... and you'll see the PMDG 737NG - Keyboard Assignment window. Scroll down the list of commands to Num 53 which is where you'll see your curent key commbination that's assigned to PMDG's - MCP Set TOGA command. So now take whatever this key combination is and go to the FSUIPC module Buttons facilities page and program your choosen CHProducts yoke button to perform this combination of key press actions, and save it. This worked for me OKRemember, you must first arm the A/T (Auto-Throttle) to be able to engage this TO/GA mode! and see it work'nGood Luck and Cheers!!!Michael DayOttawa, Canada>However the button that>I was going to use did respond to the TO/GA function. I think>I need to tweak around some more. The button I was going to>use on my CHProducts Yoke is the button on the right front>side of the yoke, some people may use this button as a>"trigger" but I want to use it for the TO/GA activation. If>you have any ideas on how to make it work please send them.

Hi BobYou can easily assign a button on your CHProducts yoke to activate the PMDG 737NG TO/GA function (as I have) if you've got a registered copy of Peter Dowson's FSUIPC interface module. With FSUIPC you can go to its Buttons facilities page, where you can program the CHProducts yoke button to perform key press actions, and have it generate the key combination that's your PMDG assignment for the MCP Set TOGA function .... which is assigned as Ctrl+Shft+G in the defalt PMDG 737NG - Keyboard Assignments, unless you've changed it. OK?Enjoy!!Michael DayOttawa, Canada

  8. ClaudioThanks for this quick reply. I've not used offsets before in FSUIPC. Can you help me a little. I've looked at Peter's FSUIPC user guide, but it isn't obvious to me where and how I use these offsets you've provided to get access to keyboard controlling these Com radio active rfrequency knobs. Are these offset values go in as parameters on the Keys page of the FSUIPC option and settings? or do I need to manually need to put them in my FSUIPC config file?I'll try experimenting, but I'd really appriciate your help with this.ThanksMike Day
  9. Hello PMDGI want to be able to manually tune the frequency of the PMDG Com radios without using the mouse, to try to make things a little more realistic in all the frequency switching between different controllers in VATSIM flights.I've got a registered version of FSUIPC, and I'm trying to use FSUIPC key programming to get keyboard control for tuning the Com radios. The native controls available through the FSUIPC key programming allows me to make keyboard changes to the standby frequency (left) side of both the PMDG COM1 and COM2 radios, and control the swap button for both radios. But there doesn't seem to be any keyboard programming controls available in FSUIPC that can be used to change the active frequency (right) sides of the COM1 and COM2 radios in the PMDG 737 radio panel. Has PMDG made keyboard assignments for these COM radio active frequency knobs? or know of any alternative way of getting some keyboard control of these COM radio active frequency knobs?I posted a question about this to Peter Dowson's support forum, and we had the following thread on this topic: http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?p=137284#137284Without having controls available for the PMDG radio active frequency knobs, it seems that my one option for FSUIPC keyboard control of the PMDG com radios is to ALWAYS use the radio's standby frequency side for communication with controllers, and use the swap button control to toggle the radio temporarily over to the active frequency side, while I make my next controller com frequency change on to the standby frequency side, and then use the swap button control to make the radio go back to using standby frequency side for communication. This is a little frustrating. Have I made some mistake?Help!Regards, Mike Day
  10. Hi DaveYes, I had started FS, SBRelay, did a multiplayer connect from FS to the SBRelay session, and ran the HostSB module .... but for some strange reason when I start SB and click OK to locate session (without an IP asddress in the window) SB continues searching ... for a flight sim multiplayer session and doesn't find the SBRelay session to join. Do you have any ideas why it could not find the SBRelay session?I've done this lots on my own sim, and not seen the problem before.Help!!ThanksMike Day
  11. I've installed SB, SBRelay etc. for the first time on my brothers sim set-up to get him able to use the VATSIM network. I'm having troubles with getting squawkbox started. Squawkbox is getting stuck at the point after you click OK for squawkbox to locate session to join SBRelay (continually searching ...), before Squawkbox starts.I'd started FS, SBRelay, started a multiplayer session, HostSB, etc. as normal OK. What would cause Squawkbox to not find the SBRelay session? Suggestions anyone please!ThanksMike Day
  12. GreetingsI participated in VATSIM LAX Rush Hour event this past w/e, flying SWA336 - KOAK to KLAX. I was really looking forward to flying in this busy VATSIM traffic!I think I have a reasonable system (2.4 GHZ P4 w 512M, GF4 w 128M). I run FS9 flying PMDG 737NG, with FSNav running on a 2nd monitor, acting as my electronic flight bag. I had my SB Multiplayer Range set at 40, to be able to see lots of traffic around me. < I think this SB multiplayer range might be me my performance hog problem >My system ran smooth while flying out of OAK and cruising enroute, but as I got closer to LAX, where there was lots more traffic around,
  13. Hello RobertHeeelllllpp !!!I download this patch, but I can't get this Service Update install to run. I continually get this Windows error:"PMDG 737-600/700 servive Update 1-3 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."I've tried redownloading this patch and got the same results. Do you have suggestions of what I should do to fix this, in order to be able to install this update.I originally purchased and installed the full 1-2 release on January 2, 2004.ThanksMike DayPSMany thanks to the PMDG team!! The 737NG is a fabulous product, and I'm really looking forward to your 737-800/900 and 747-400 Queen of the skies releases!!Will these new products have more cool features like TCAS, terrain, and weather radar? I sure hope so!
