Ok guys some additions,This aircraft has over a hundred and twenty firm orders... one carrier has bought 46, and thats all firm orders, no options!!!!!! Yes I am amazed too!!! This aircraft is selling and will sell more.. no doubts there.There is no doubt there are major airport planning issues with this a380, wider taxiways for sure, and somehow double decker gate platforms, and double gates serving one aircraft aswell, many airports are well into this phase, i remember seeing the a380 airport planning doc for airport preparation many years ago.One thing is very clear...this aircraft will raise the standard in flight experience and comfort, and bringing back the romance to flying, already Richard Branson has promised private double bedrooms !!!! I cant wait to take my girlfriend on that !!! :)Unfortunate as it is, and the 747-400 is my favourite, this is clearly the begining of the end of the 747-400, and I say the begining of the end meaning the -400 has still a good 20 years ahead of it, but its all about making money and the a380 will make more money for airlines than the 747-400 ever did.Armen at EGLLwww.veryquiet.com
