January 18, 200521 yr I tried a couple flights in the PMDG 737-700 since receiving my registration code for FS Flightkeeper, and have 1 problem.....When I climb through FL180, I click the button to revert the altimeter to STD, and revert it to actual pressure (and update it) when descending through FL180, precisely as I'm supposed to. However, FSFK keeps dinging me for having an incorrect altimeter setting (8 x 10% penalties) so my pilot rating in my regular logbook is pretty bad.I'm pretty sure it's not changing pressures when I'm below FL180, because I correct the alimeter setting immediately every time FSFK shows the "pressure change" message.Any tips on how to manage the altimeter setting within FSFK's tolerance? Thanks,Dave CoulterCYWG Declared weather: FSX: ASN / FS9: ASE
January 19, 200521 yr Hi Dave,Unfortunately it is not as easy as it looks. First you should check that your transition altitudes in FS Flight Keeper and those in MSFS match. If flying in the US it should generally be 18,000 feet but in other part of the world it varies.Second, If you use MSFS weather or any other weather addon for that matter the weather datas are coming form different sources which may or may not be the same source as Flight Keeper is reading its datas from. Here there may be discrepancies which generate the penalties in Flight Keeper. One way to check this is to compare the weather reports of Flight Keeper and the one from the addon you use.Third, when you file your flight plan in Flight Keeper and generate the weather report you should take note of each single QNH for every waypoint and input the QNH in the sim within the time constrains.Last I think there is a way to block the pressure item in the config file of Flight Keeper so that it will not be taken into consideration in the analysis.Michael
