Duenna Status
I could resurrect the PHP code I did a few years ago when Avsim made some changes to file uploads that would have affected our forum and race procedures if they hadn't made our forum exempt from it. It's really not that different from the file attachment setup, we'd just have to upload the image and text files from the Duenna to a separate website and paste the links it provides back into our forum posts. If I remember correctly, the basic code was essentially complete, just might want to do a bit of tweaking. I'm going to step out on a limb, however, and take a wild guess that we're going to end up posting our baton thread on Eamon's forum again because there's still "some" degree of issues with forum response times and availability (though it still is better than it has been known to be), and my scripts would definitely not be needed for that.

Contact for user group membership updates?
I'm referring more specifically to the RTW Race Team group. Who would be the new contact for any additions/removals/other maintenance that might be needed for our group?

RTWR2016 Recruiting
It's that time of year once again! Assuming that the race will go on as usual in 2016, it's time to start recruiting and practicing for the annual 'Round The World Rally. The 'Round The World Rally is a race around the virtual world, run in Microsoft Flight Simulator. The forums at Avsim, FlightSim.com and Sim-Outhouse.com each form a team to fly a virtual baton completely around the world. The race is run completely in real time, and is usually flown in legs of up to two hours. The team that completes their flight with the fastest overall time (after bonuses/penalties) takes home the coveted Tornado Trophy. The race is traditionally held the first weekend following Valentine's Day, which is the weekend of February 19th-21st. If you're interested in joining the fun and camaraderie, simply reply to this thread with the information requested in the quote below. Let's bring the Tornado Trophy back to the Avsim trophy case!

ATC problem with created airport
Tried loading all stock data that it would let me (including comms), and no other comms on the list other than the ones I made.

ATC problem with created airport
With the different combinations of ATC comms I've tried, I've tried it with several different frequencies. It is my understanding that ADE should list any nearby comm stations, and it does not list any comms other than the one (currently) I added.

ATC problem with created airport
Hi, I created a fictional airport in ADE, which happens to be at a very high lattitude (N82, if that matters). I'm having a problem with ATC at this airport. I cannot recieve IFR clearance to depart the airport. I make the request, it gives me the clearance, I read it back, and then nothing. No confirmation of a correct readback, it just stops responding on a "no messages to transmit" message and I have to use the map screen to change heading by 1 degree to reset ATC. It does not matter what ATC centres I have setup. I originally had just a Tower frequency, then I added a Clearance frequency, now I've removed both of those and added just a UNICOM frequency. All stop responding after my readback. I tried again from nearby stock airstrip CYLT, also at N82 lattitude, and it worked fine, so I have reason to believe this is specific to this airport, which I am 99.99% sure the comms are correctly setup. Any ideas what is wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

2015 RTWR Weather Declaration Thread
Thanks, Mike and Committee. As expected, I'll be using Active Sky 2012 in FSX, and Active Sky Evolution in FS9.

2015 RTWR Weather Declaration Thread
Makes perfect sense, just needed to clarify it so I do things correctly and not lock myself out of FS9 (where many of my race aircraft are) because I declared an FSX-only weather engine. I'll make my declaration later, but definitely before the race..

2015 RTWR Weather Declaration Thread
What about switching between FSX and FS9? I'll be using Active Sky 2012 for FSX, but that's FSX only... Can I say that I'll be using Active Sky 2012 in FSX, and Active Sky Evolution in FS9? Or do I need to choose a weather engine compatible with both simulators if I intend to be able to switch between them?

2015 race date?
Thanks. I figured it was a safe bet, but wanted to make sure... I'm most likely going to be a VERY last-minute decision whether I can participate this year or not... About to start a new job, don't know what kind of schedule I'll have, and (obviously) I will not be in any position to be asking for time off.... Just to let y'all know why I'm not signing the recruitment thread...

2015 race date?
Just to clarify.... With Valentine's Day being on a Saturday this year, would I be correct in assuming that the race will be starting on the following weekend, February 21st?

Welcome Back - 2015
I'm still lurking, but I'm even more uncertain of my ability to participate in the 2015 race than I did for 2014...
