Support Request

Recommended Posts

Guest EH185

After 3 mails since Monday, I decided finally to post in this forum my request.Having bought PMDG 737-600/700 product in July 2003 everuthing went well til last saturday when I lost the harddrive I used for all my backup(unfortunately I thought this drive was reliable and I didn't burn a back-up of my back-up on a CD-ROM).Now I would like to re-install the ADD-ONS I bought.I had no problem to retrieve Flight1/FSD products on their support page but didn't get any answer from you.Hoping that this message will be heard and answered.Thks for your wonderful product & your kind support.Daniel MAQOUR

Replacement of a lost PMDG Product: Replacement of Lost Download Products: PMDG offers replacement products to customers who originally purchased an electronically delivered product directly from PMDG's website. PMDG is unable to replace lost or user damaged CD media, however we can easily replace a product that was originally purchased as a download from our website.PMDG provides free product replacement for a period of one year from the date of original purchase, provided the customer can provide enough identifying information to help us locate the customer order within our records! Please send a detailed email to: updateme@precisionmanuals.com and provide your name, approximate date of purchase, Confirmation ORDER ID (if possible!) and any other information that may help us identify you and your order. DO NOT SEND YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER, NOR WILL ANYONE FROM PMDG EVER ASK YOU FOR YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER. Time Limitation: After the first year of ownership, PMDG may, at it

Hi Randy, Thanks for your answer but if I post here in this forum this is because I've already sent my request on last Monday with all details to the above indicated adress but I've still no reply.Of course I know I purchased my add-on more than 1 year.Sorry to have been a trusty customer of the first hours(In fact it began with Fly! 757 add-on).Now to get a new download link it will cost me around 10$.(this service is available is other well-known flightsim store with no extra-charge).!It's a bit hard !Moreover these conditions for product replacement didn' t exist when I purchased this aircraft.Nevermind I will think twice next time i'll purchase something with PMDG!Daniel MAQOUR

Well I don't know but doubt that this was not a part when you purchased but really I don't know. I back up everything for the very reason you are here. PMDG make the rules, you certainly cannot blame them for your loss can you? What other do or not does not mean that PMDG are bound to those rules. There are good reasons why you must pay for PMDG to spend time looking for you order, re=activating a link etc because time IS money. Can you imagine if the majority of users did this? Anyways, your link should NOT reside on your hard drive but on an external server who holds your mail account. I can lose my hardrive and STILL have my links to the product. Was this not clear enough when you made the purchase? I believe that it was..
Randy J. Smith
I still have my link which no longer exists. Why ?I don' t know.I don't put the blame on anybody.Just wished that PMDG could ease the retrieve of my lost product like Flight1 did(and they are not the Salvation Army either). So I 've spent 39.90$ for nothing since retrieving this link seems to be an impossible task.Nevermind Thanks a lot for your answers.Daniel Maqour
