Flap Wave file

Featured Replies

Some how my flap wave file got toasted. Is there anyway to get a copy of this file without having to reinstall the PMDG737?

HmmI thought I could just eMail it to you ..... but it would seem as though the default flap file is 1kb wav file without any waveform. If you feel wealthy enough ..... the Ariane sound sets for the NG are superb.http://www.woodlandworld.com/ariane/dept.asp?dept%5Fid=1222

If you could email it to me , that would be great..

Hehe I'm not sure Ariane would be too happy about that idea!.... but the Stereo CFM set is superb for the PMDG NG.

Thanks for the help, I have the file on the way from 2 people :). That's good, because my attempts at trying to take an existing file and edit it were less than fruitfull. First time I tried "my Flap Sound" , I thought one of my engines threw a compressor blade....... :)

Somthing seems really strange about this flaps wave file in the PMDG 737-700 sound directory. Someone sent me a copy of this file today and the copy is behaving like the one that I orginally started with. It doesn't make any sound at all no matter what I try to play it with . I looked at the properties and it contains 128 bytes, which doesn't seem like a proper audio file. Has anyone else tried going into the sound directory of the 737-700 and clicking on the flaps wave?

Mine doesn't allow Windows Sound Recorder to play it. I believe since you can't here the flaps in the cockpit that the file was left "blank" so to speak. I doubt the NG even plays a sound for flaps except for the flap handle.

Some transtions the flap sound seem to linger forever, and others seem OK. Seemed like it was not programmed correctly.

Yeah, I'd just put the blank file back where it goes. I've looked in all the places and it doesn't seem to call up a flap file, just the handle you hear click in the cockpit, which is a seperate file.

Nathanial, you might want to remove your post. I don't think AVSIM would like you asking for something illegal on here.
