Question about real-time winds aloft.

Featured Replies

This might has been asked repeatly but I really can't find out a way to know the real-time wind aloft that is happening in flight simulator, flight simulator doesn't provide us the detailed weather profile, so how can we foresee the wind's direction/knots? Without this information, how can we input wind's conditions in FMC's descend forecast page? I think this's important for FMC to calculate the accurate position of T/D.Don't tell me to use activesky, it causes problems to many aircraft addons...Thanks very much!

Fei,>Don't tell me to use activesky, it causes problems to many aircraft >addons...Ok, I'll just keep quiet then! But on my computer AS2004.5 works perfect with all my add-ons. :-|Hope it helps,

In the US this is a good source:http://adds.aviationweather.gov/winds/If you use real weather update in FS9 I've found it matches these pretty well. Here's one source in Europe:http://theyr.net/cg/cny/I1dd4e4/F=js*v*050305*18*NASome quality web surfing could probably yield more and better sources of upper wind info. These can at least get you started for fuel planning purposes.Regards,Bob
