dome light in PMDG VC 737/800-900

Featured Replies

I've read that the dome light in the VC is functional and provides for additional lighting. I'm unable to turn it on. Any suggestions? Thanks for any help you can pass my way.

You have to set a key command via the pmdg menue. Stefan

Hi Vin,Thanks for the response.Still not having any luck. Here's what I've done. I've loaded the 737NG 600/700. Then I installed the PMDG 800/900. Shortly thereafter I installed the PMDG 737-800/900 service update 1. At this point I have selected the PMDG 737-900 vc to fly. In the overhead panel, I can activate the panel light knob, however, the dome light knob above it does not move which leaves me with marginal panel viewing at night. Should that domelight knob switch to on? Also, would that give me better interior cockpit panel lighting? When I activate the panel light knob, the instruments light up great in yellow. However, I can't easily see other detail on the panel. Appreciate your help,Ray

Ray,You have to port the 800/900 VC enhancements down to the 600/700 as well. It's not done automatically when installing the 800/900. Get the 600/700 VC model update here: http://www.precisionmanuals.com/downloads/...le=438&iType=23Install and that would get the dome lights working in the 600/700 VC as well.Hope it helps,

Matt,Thanks for the fast response, I'll give it a shot and let you know what happens.Ray

Mats,I followed through with your suggestion, however, the dome light still does not switch on in any of the VC models. I'm wondering if I have something set up wrong, I'll keep tinkering with it. Thanks for your thoughts.Ray
