Dome Light In 737NG VC?

Featured Replies

Is there a dome light in the 737NG to brighten the panel textures? I think the 1900C has it, but I can not find it in the NG manuals.Dennis MitchellPS, Everyone is swooning over the 744 news flash, and I am still working on the 737. I started late, because I had to learn completely, and fly some other aircraft I purchased. So many planes, so little time.

Dennis,If you have the 800/900 upgrade then yes you do have dome lights. But not if you only have the 600/700 base pack.Hope it helps,

Dennis,I just upgraded to the 800/900 even though I've had the 700 for a long time, don't know why I waited that long....Anyways, if you don't want to upgrade, there is a file here on avsim that might help youhttp://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=34549 (by Gerrit Kranenbarg)I believe that's what you're looking for.Hope this helps, and BTW I can only recommend upgrading to the 800 for all the VC features.Petehttp://members.aol.com/pzsoulman/myhomepage/logo.gifAMD64-3400,1GB/2700DDRAM,WinXP(SP2),DirectX9.0c,Geforce6800(128MB)(Det.71.89), CH Yoke/Pedals

I have upgraded to the 800/900. I thought this was a feature that came with it. (Dome Light in VC) Does the dome light upgrade from the 800/900s affect the 600/700s?I am really enjoying this plane.Dennis

DennisYou must run the model update kit for the 800/900 VC enhancements to become available for the 600/700 as well. You can find the model update on the PMDG download page.Hope it helps,

Dennis,it should change the 700 as well, as far as I know. But I'm pretty sure you'd have to install the 700 upgrade first. Did you install that? You can find that file on the PMDG website under downloads/service updates, it's the 2nd from the top:http://www.precisionmanuals.com/downloads/...le=438&iType=23Cheers,Petehttp://members.aol.com/pzsoulman/myhomepage/logo.gifAMD64-3400,1GB/2700DDRAM,WinXP(SP2),DirectX9.0c,Geforce6800(128MB)(Det.71.89), CH Yoke/Pedals

Thanks, you guys are a lot of help and I appreciate it.I see the optional models upgrade on the link (Optional Models Update for 800/900, 29 megs). Is this the one I need?I purchased it a couple of days ago, do I need to upgrade to 1.3, or apply any other service packs. Once again, thanks for your help.Dennis

Got the Service Pack, didn't need it.Installed the Optional Models as you guys recommended, and the Dome light in the VC now works on the 700. I Ran the Batch file for my add on liveries and that worked well also. Thanks guys.Dennis Mitchell

Dennis,You have the right one. The optional models update for 800/900 29Mb is the one to transfer the 800/900 VC to the 600/700.If you purchased a few days ago the both the 600/700 and 800/900 should be up-to-date. Version 1.3 for the 600/700 and 1.1 for the 800/900. No need to patch.Hope it helps,

Right, I ran the optional model executable and now all works as expected. Thanks for the help. Dennis Mitchell
