May 15, 200521 yr on the a300-600 we often put in the runway on the prog page (shows bearing/distance). as someone mentioned, it's nice to see your actual distance from the threshold in cases where there is no other vertical guidance available. one mile out, approx 300' hat, 5 miles out, 1500' etc.it is entered as: kjfk04r for example.

If your route is in the opposite direction of the>takeoff runway LNAV cannot be used at the start.In order for Lnav to engage from on the ground, the first waypoint of your route must be in line with the runway heading where you are takeing off.
