Minipanel

Featured Replies

Hi, Is it possible to change the "W" key Minipanel in the PMDG 737NG, that is, change the gauges that appear there? How?Gabriel

Gabriel, yes, it is possible by changing the PANEL.CFGI answered this question in this thread:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...d=78962&page=53But I never got a response saying 'Thanks' or 'It works'...;( CheersThomas

Thanks to Gabriel for raising this and thanks to Thomas for the answer. I have altered my cfg files and it works a treat and not only for PMDG. (Even tried it with the default cessna but you have to stand on a chair to see over the mini panel.):-beerchug

Hi, the pictures of what the mini panel looks like have 'life-expired- in the linked post, any chance of re-posting in this thread so I can see if I fancy joining the mini-panel gang?CheersGlen

I like that idea, can the displays be moved to either side of the screen? If so are they drag-able or would it mean playing with pixel values?I'm always very worried when changing files and values like that, mainly cos i'm not very clever!!!Cheers for the pic.Glen

If it rains, you're gonna need windshield wipers on your displays, Bill. -)BR,Frank

They'll be just fine - they're wrapped in clingfilm. As far as size goes I have experimented and really it depends on your eyesight. My eyes are over 60 years old and so are not as good as they were. These are the various sizes and spacings I tried and ended up with the uncommented ones which were best for me and my system. Others might find the next one down is OK[Window17]position=7visible=1size_mm=1280,960child_3d=1background_color=0,0,0ident=MINIPANEL//gauge00=PMDG_737NG_Main!EFISDisplay, 306,653,288,288,PFD APP//gauge01=PMDG_737NG_Main!EFISDisplay, 703,653,288,288,ND APP//gauge00=PMDG_737NG_Main!EFISDisplay, 200,653,288,288,PFD APP//gauge01=PMDG_737NG_Main!EFISDisplay, 900,653,288,288,ND APP//gauge00=PMDG_737NG_Main!EFISDisplay, 106,653,288,288,PFD APP//gauge01=PMDG_737NG_Main!EFISDisplay, 903,653,288,288,ND APPgauge00=PMDG_737NG_Main!EFISDisplay, 106,653,252,252,PFD APPgauge01=PMDG_737NG_Main!EFISDisplay, 903,653,252,252,ND APP//gauge00=PMDG_737NG_Main!EFISDisplay, 106,703,216,216,PFD APP//gauge01=PMDG_737NG_Main!EFISDisplay, 903,703,216,216,ND APPThey look like this. It won't be too clear I'm afraid as I had to lose a lot of the resolution to get it to an acceptable size. Also scaled size down but it is a full screen representation rather than the cropped version before.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/122145.jpg
