August 1, 200520 yr Hey, The V2500 has 4 latches on the fan cowl, and many more on the c-duct. There are modfications to the C-Duct/Fan Cowl to help ensure visually that the latches are closed. It really takes quite a bit of force to latch/unlatch the cowls - and you need to make sure that they are properly latched before you walk-off. Sometimes they can sit very nearly flush and you could miss this on a walk-around, even though they are painted orange. Afterall you don't want these things flying open mid-flight, hurtling back and hitting your tailplane :(Matthew Murray
August 1, 200520 yr >Hi Stian,>>You're right its a scarebus, apologies to the 73!>ARMEN at EGLL Very interesting pictures, but can I just remind you that there is NO such aircraft! Have you ever considered that many people find rather foolish remarks like this offensive? (Have you so quickly forgotten the slight problem with centre tank wiring in a 747? Or certain rudder problems on the 737?) Aircraft production provides a lot of revenue and jobs both sides of the Atlantic; ill-advised statements like this do nothing for either side. So please have a little thought before again repeating this inaccuracy.Regards,Gustav.

I dont think calling an airbus a scarebus is going to tank the economy for airbus.
