STARTING PMDG-NG 737 - COLD AND DARK

Featured Replies

I would like to recommend that PMDG-NG 737 make it where we are able to start cold and dark at the gate. I dont want to have to shut everything down and then start it up. Does anyone have any ideas or figured out how to start the program with the 737 cold and dark. I love the program, I think they have done a great job and I would pay for the upgrade to be able to do so. Thanks for any help!Lee

Open up a Cessna flight and turn everything off.Switch to the 737 and check that its all cold and dark, turning anything off if needed.Save it as a flight. You can then open that flight - jump to whatever airfield you wish and it's cold and dark ready for startup.

Lee,The easiest way to do this is by selecting the default C-172. Mixture ICO (idle cutoff), magnetos OFF and finally Master/Alternator OFF. Then select your PMDG 737 from the Aircraft menu, adjust your fuel load and you should have a cold & dark cockpit.Let me know if you have any problems.

Ha! Looks like Stuntie beat me to it!

Actually there is a better way than above.. If you use the PMDG provided situation file the first time you bring up the NG, this will set up all future loads to cold and dark.. Worked like a charm for me.------------------------------------------------------------------Joe F."It's not the fall that kills ya. I shall not fall behind in the race to provide a better answer: if you would like your aircraft to be cold and dark each time you load them (which is how I prefer mine), you should create a flight with a Beechcraft Baron (just because it's also a twin). Then shut everything down and save the flight as default. Now every time you create any flight from the FS Create a Flight window, you will get a cold and dark 737.- Neeraj.

Many Thanks for all the help. It worked.Lee
