FSNavigator not showing MP aircraft

Recommended Posts

Guest

Just got FSNavigator latest version. I see that MP aircraft are supposed to be able to show up on the map but they don't for me. I checked through the help files and there wasn't any information on how to get it to work, anyone have any ideas? ThanksJustin E.

Hi Justin,This may sound like a stupid question, but did you click the button on the left-hand vertical bar in FSNav to enable MP planes to show up?Forgive me if you did, but what an easy fix if you didn't!-Bill Womack

Hi Bill,Yes, i have been clicking the Show MP Aircraft button and nothing shows up. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I assume this feature works for you. Some background info, I am the host of the session and only one person connected. I start an MP session like normal. Thanks for any input!Justin

Justin. You'll need to manually connect FSNAvigator to the IP adress of the host. To do this, Select 'options' (from your FSVav window) and then select 'multiplayer connect'. Enter the name you wish to be seen as on the moving map and then in the next window, enter the IP address of the session host. You should then be able to see online aircraft. In your multiplayer message box, you should see your FSNAv session name pop up as another player, but it will have an asterisk next to it.I don't know how you would do this in an automatic launch MS Zone session, but it works in a standard IP session that you log into or host yourself.I hope this helps.Si.

It could also be that you are behind a firewall. In this case, forward your IP address as the DMZ Host. This will show the other aircrafts.Regards, Ferry
