January 1, 200620 yr I share your similar experience with DES NOW. I know I have seen this working properly before; I.e., 1,200 fpm desc to new MCP alt. This was prior to the 1.10 update. Not saying that the update caused this, but I haven't flown much since I updated my '47 to 1.10. (pitty!). In my scenario, I did not use speed intervention. The only thing I did was modify my CI value after I reached cruise and was not getting .86M cruise. BTW, anyone know where to get a good CI table? Bill Bulfer's FMC manual for the Boeing heavies has one for the 767 but not the 747.Anyway, It would be interesting to see if there is anything to the DES NOW conditions being reported.
