July 19, 200223 yr Author I had a Radeon 64MB (original) from February of last year to October, when I bought the Ti500 that I have now.Back then, the drivers were "ok". They worked most of the time. But sometimes they just plain sucked. For months Direct 3D games weere slow. The image would just freeze for a while, then jump 10 frames, then freeze again, then it was suddenly smooth for a while, then it started doing it again. Some drivers caused flickering textures, some non-working fog, and some broke FSAA. Some of the special features of the card didn't work, or required tweaks to work.Never had any real problems with my Ti500, so the Det4s are certainly more stable than ATI's drivers. It seems however that ATI has improved with the drivers since then. I feel confident enough in them to buy this new card. -
