December 22, 200520 yr I know how to set the trim in the throttle quadrant of the 747 using the numlock 7 and 1 buttons, but I would really like to do it the way a real pilot would who wouldn't have a keyboard would! So any help on how setting the trim in a 747 would be done in real life would be much appreciated!
December 22, 200520 yr I assume you have a joystick. Joysticks almost universally have a switch or button to adjust trim. I have a Thrustmaster TopGun and the switch on it is one the top right of the joystick handle. Check the instructions on your joystick. If you don't have a joystick, you are missing a lot.I imagine real pilots use the switch on the control wheel or something similiar. On my old C-152, you had to turn a wheel on the dashboard. Dick Parker in Northeast Ohio USA Windows 10 64-bit | Nvidia GTX 1080 | ORBX | P3D 4.4.16.27077
December 22, 200520 yr I do have a joystick, yes. If a real pilot would use a button the yoke to adjust trim then I will assign a button to my joystick, but if there is a button in the cockpit to do it, I would rather do that. Could anyone could confirm this? Thanks a lot in advance...
December 23, 200520 yr There is a switch on he real yoke in a 747 to do this you can clearly see it modelled in the PMDG aircraft but there is no mouse functionalityKav
