Linking FSX and P3D Flightplan Folders
Thanks, Kyle. I have read it once but need to study it. Looks more complicated than I had hoped, but will reserve judgement. Thanks, again.

Linking FSX and P3D Flightplan Folders
Is there any way to link the FSX and P3D PMDG 777 flightplan folders other than by copying the flightplans back-and-forth? I have FSX and P3D installed on separate drives. I use both depending on my "mood of the day." Thanks.

Flight plan interpretation
Just flew from Munich to Dulles and want to reproduce flight with the PMDG 777. However, I have never seen this kind of flightplan before. Can anyone interpret this for me? BAGLE264024 DANOL ENE BAF HYPER6 I don't understand the "BAGLE264024" part. Got this from FlightAware. United 133 on October 15. Thanks.

Updating 777 FSX to version 6492
Thanks. I wonder why the aircraft.cfg files were not updated? I think they have been in the past updates. All the indicators you mentioned show the 6492 version.

Updating 777 FSX to version 6492
I was away while all this was happening. I downloaded both the -200 and -300 updates and installed them as "repairs." The operations center says that I now have the most current versions installed (6492), but the aircraft.cfg file header still says build 6155. How can I tell if the update has actually occurred? Thanks.

Where is the flight plan folder for P3D located?
For PMDG flightplans, they are located in the main P3D folder inside the "PMDG" folder.

Seeking simple answer: Does Nvidia Inspector work with P3D?
Not sure what is meant by requirements here. Thanks.

Seeking simple answer: Does Nvidia Inspector work with P3D?
Thanks, SteveW. What do you make of this from Prepar3D forum? "Why aren’t NVIDIA driver overrides aren’t working? Rest assured that we aren’t disabling these on purpose. We want all our users to have the broadest set up tweaks and tools at their disposal to get the most out of Prepar3D v2. We’ve been working with NVIDIA to try to track this down. Some of the overrides may not actually work with any D3D11 application. Thus far, NVIDIA has not given us any feedback to indicate that we need to do anything more on our end to enable these overrides. We will keep working with them to resolve the issue. For now, most driver overrides won’t work. Edit: Some nvidia settings do appear to be working." Or, doesn't this statement apply to NI?

Seeking simple answer: Does Nvidia Inspector work with P3D?
I have read conflicting reports here, on the Prepar3D forums, and elsewhere. For example: www.codelegend.com/graphics/nvidiainspectorsettingsp3d2dx11.jpg Does anyone know the answer...does Nvidia Inspector work with P3D V2.5? Maybe there is no "simple answer." Thanks.

Try this for better graphics in P3D 2.5
That did it! Thanks for the tip...never heard about that one before.

Try this for better graphics in P3D 2.5
No, I was looking at the global tab.

Try this for better graphics in P3D 2.5
Maybe I am missing something here. I have a EVGA GTX 970 running the 4788 driver on Win7-64 and I don't have any DSR options available when I follow these instructions. The options boxes in the global nVidia control panel simply say "off" with no other option available. Thanks.

I wish you would add the version number, for example, 6461, to the installer file name. Thanks.

Is HIGHMEMFIX=1 Needed in Prepar3D?
This was needed in FSX.cfg. Is it needed in Prepar3D? Thanks.

Prepar3D: Try Optimize_Parts=1
Thanks. I was not aware that there was a Prepar3d forum on Avsim. The only one I had seen was on the Prepar3d site.

Prepar3D: Try Optimize_Parts=1
This tweak has been discussed on the Prepar3D forum so I thought I would give it a try. In the Prepar3d.cfg file, under [sIM], try OPTIMIZE_PARTS=1 I don't know all the ramifications of this tweak but it increase the FPS by 40-50% on my system. With a EVGA GTX970, I was getting to 70-80 FPS in spot view using the PMDG 777 (frame rate set at unlimited).

Prepar3D: R6025 Run time error
I have been using the 737 for several days now with no problems. Today, after about one hour of flying I got the dreaded "R6025 Pure virtual function call" error. I note that in FSX a user recommended deleting all PMDG-related dll references in the .cfg file and letting it rebuild. I have not tried that yet. Any other suggestions or solutions? Thanks.

Planning transoceanic flights to/from Alaska
Try looking up your flight on FlightAware. On the page showing results of the flight will be the flight plan flown. Here is Cathay Pacific 71 flown on March 12. TED NODLE R220 NEONN R220 NODAN R217 GTC V30 IKUJI V30 JEC Y45 HKC A1 AISAR A1 APU MKG A1 ELATO V521 ABBEY Interestingly, FlightAware does not show any recent FedEx flights on the route.

Virtual cockpit zoom setting for 777 and 737 Prepar3d
It looks like the best place to make "permanent" changes is to go to: C:\your name\my documents\prepar3d v2 files\ and look for the default.fxml file. You can open this for sure with Notepad++, and maybe other apps. There is a setting under Camera 1.2 (Virtual Cockpit) for "Zoom Value". Change to your choice of value. I like 0.7 to start. Thanks to a user over on the Prepar3D forum.
