March 22, 201511 yr This was needed in FSX.cfg. Is it needed in Prepar3D? Thanks. Dick Parker in Northeast Ohio USA Windows 10 64-bit | Nvidia GTX 1080 | ORBX | P3D 4.4.16.27077

March 22, 201511 yr Moderator yup, biggest mistake new users make is to install and then add all the old FSX tweaks. P3D is NOT FSX - many changes have been made and many of the old tweaks are built in. Leave the cfg alone with exception POSSIBLY of FFTF and/or AM. March 22, 201511 yr In fact you really shouldn't have to touch cfg file at all - unlike fsx I agree with two exceptions, the optimize_parts and optimize_clouds settings. Tom "I just wanna tell you both: good luck. We're all counting on you."
March 22, 201511 yr I agree with two exceptions, the optimize_parts and optimize_clouds settings. Yes optimize_parts for sure but optimize_clouds caused fps loss here Rich Sennett
March 22, 201511 yr I went to the FS Dreamteam settings menu and clicked 'save', but it looks like it modified my prepared.cfg. I can see the highmemfix=1. Should i delete this line...?
