Here's my Livery Request for the 744: Columbia Airlines! I must have seen the movie "Airport '75" with Charton Heston like 100 times. Columbia Airlines was the fictitious airline used in the movie. This is the movie where the 747 colides with the Beach Baron and the flight crew is killed or severly incapacitated. Unfortuately, this is also the movie that the writers of "Airplane!" (the comedy) used as a basis for the comedy. You can't really watch the Airport '75 anymore without laughing even though it's not a comedy. Interestingly enough, the same 747 used in the movie is still flying for UPS, but the Baron used in the film was destroyed years later in an actual mid-air collision. Talk about life imitating art.So, how about it painters: Columbia Airlines 747!
