Featured Replies

Hi fellas i just installed the PMDG 747,and what a nice plane it is,but i have one small problem and that is that i cant seem to get the autopilot to work,it just keeps dissengaging itself, ive been through the manuel and cant seem to figure out what i havnt done.any help would be greatMick

Mick! Many concomitant conditions could be affecting your AP. Make sure you have initialised your FMC fully, and correctly. Can you give us more details on what you are attempting to do with AP? (Using LNAV, VNAV, HDG SEL, etc..?)Tom

Hi Tom,yeah i know i was being a bit vague, many thanks for your response, but i managed to sort it out.dont ask me what it was but i rebooted the PC,then tried it again and again and it seems to work fine now.CheersMick

Mick,In case you are experiencing problems with A/P disengaging when using add-on weather programs like Active Sky or even FS2004 default weather, this is normal due to abrupt wind changes modeled in FS. The only way to fix or reduce the frequency of A/P disegagements is to use FSUIPC wind smoothing and Active Sky Wind smoothing functions. This happens particularly in accelerated simulation modes but some people have reported it even with real-time 1X simulation rates too.John
