CDU Questions!?!?

Featured Replies

SWEEET!! Im gonna have to buy this CDU but I have a few questions as I found the page on the PMDG website kinda confuseing.. Do I need seperate units for the 737NG and 744? It said something about a key or whatever, will current owners need to re-install of re-purchase the aircraft to get the licsense to make the aircraft compatible. If someone could just explain the process of aquiring this better it would be great :) Thanks! Trace

As far as I understand they need the production number of your Engravity CDU unit, which you can find on the back. You can use one unit for both the 737 AND the 747, if you use the right drivers. What is not clear on the PMDG page is if the $99 dollar is for the complete 737+747 package or if you have to pay $99 for each separate package (which is a steep price tag in my opinion). If you have one CDU, for example the 737, you will be able to get an interchangeable faceplate to make it look and function like a 747 FMC. These faceplates are already announced by Engravity, but are not available for purchase yet.I hope to see more info soon.Regards,Arjen Nederstigt
