March 10, 200620 yr hi all. i was wondering what these were? and what are they used for?tanksmaxim Tom James
March 10, 200620 yr Maxim,That seems to be the oxygen panels for the pilots. And they are used for breathing when you run out of cabin air... ;-)Cheers, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
March 10, 200620 yr Hey, MaximUnless I miss my guess, these red buttons are representations of the independant crew oxygen supply. These buttons have two functions. They are squeezed gently together by the crew member, who will hear a rush of oxygen coming from underneath the buttons. They then know that the oxygen supply is working. Each crew member has their own supply to themselves in the event of a decompression. Under these buttons, is a box containing the crew oxygen mask. The buttons form part of the box lid, and they must be squeezed tightly together to release this lid, and the mask inside is then taken out and put on by the crew member. Hope that answers your question. Andy
