747-400F LCD display wrong config

Featured Replies

Hi everybody,Just one question about that amazing extension of the 747-400 :The new LCD displays which are specific to the 400F do not display the correct new graphics. They display the "old style" graphics of the CRT display, and no possibility to change that config in the PMDG menu. If anyone has an idea of that...Thank you so much for that so great product

What I try to say is that we have the new LCD displays included in the cockpit but inside it is the "CRT modeled graphics" that are displayed. 747-400F LCD displays normally changes the way the information are displayed. For example the glide and loc scale that should be outside the artificial horizon. The heading pointer outside the top of the compass... and so on...There is an option in the pmdg menu to choose between crt and lcd, but since the 747-400F has been installed that option is deactivated and in the wrong mode for the 400F.

Hi Marty-The Display Type option in the PMDG dialog window is saved in your PMDG747400gauges.ini file. The setting is called:747400_DisplayType=1 (it's in the CRT section)If that setting is 0, change it to 1, save the file and restart the app. This would happen if you used CRT-style displays for the 400Pax, and restarted into the Cargo version... (If we come up with a later update, I'll make sure that it gets reset when you load the -F automatically).Best,
