PMDG 747-400F: Missing Images

Featured Replies

fsscr056.jpgI did an initial install of the 400F and had the above problem (Gear and windshield images are not there).I did a complete uninstall and reinstall; same problem. Would anyone on the PMDG staff have a quick fix for this? Thanks in advance for your service. Chris

Your pic is way too small.

Even though the picture you posted is nearly impossible to see, it does appear that the gear has textures (the tires look black... without a texture they would be gray). The windshield uses transparency, and if it does not show up, even after waiting for the textures to load (sometimes it can take a little time), then I would suggest that you should update your video card's software drivers.Best,Vin ScimonePMDGwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/devteam.jpg

I will load the image onto my personal webspace later and repost. Photobucket automatically resizes images that are too large (I forgot). There appears to be no textures mapped to the landing gear or landing gear doors. (Wheels, gear, and gear doors are all grey). Windshield is completely transparent with no texture mapped there also. I understand that there is a level of transparency for the windshield, however it is not there. I can see clear through to the crew; there are no frames for the windshield. I will take a screen specifically for what I am talking about and post another image.I have all the other PMDG products and do not have this problem. My video card software drivers are up-to-date.As far as the windshield is concerned; it basically acts like there is no texture mapped to the area. I will try all of your recommendations again Vin.

Bump. Can someone take a look at this again for me?

maybe that texture folder does not have enough textures? what is the file count for that texture folder?

There are 40 texture files in the folder.

I reinstalled (more times than I can count), and I am still getting only 40 images in the texture folder. This is also the same for any installed liveries. I am befuddled.
