hmmm. i would assume that the optimal resolution is whatever your system can take without having quality diminish. max

I think optimal resolution is more of a 2d panel issue. Within the VC it's really a case of image quality vs performance. Feel free to correct me on that.I run in 1200*1600 which is mighty crisp but no doubt does sacrifice some FPS.
