Problem with NAV Radios

Featured Replies

Hello,I have an strange problem with Nav radios in PMDG 737. When I start a fly, I'm able to dial in the neccessary frequences both in Nav 1 and Nav 2. If The fly is not large (i.e, less than one hour), I don

Thanks, but that's not my problem.First, my problem occurs in PMDG 737, not 744 nor 747. The 737 FMC doesn't have Nav radios section. I have to tune the radios when I need to. During flight, I suppose that the plane is guided by means of IRS or internally tunning the frequecies of Vor's as neccesary, but there's no way to tune an ILS frequency in FMC, nor select manual/auto mode.Thanks. I will keep on searching.

I have the same issue.Anyone ?After a long flight, more then a hour the VOR1 VOR2 stops from functioning.

I'm not sure about it, but in my las 3 flights, all of them larger than an hour, the problem has dissapear.I was doing something wrong with the procedures. The engine bleeds were not connected, nor the engine gens. I was flying only with the energy provided by the APU. As this is not the way it's supossed to be in reality, maybe it's not simulated what it would happen in reality if a flight would made like this, and therefor it can be just a bug.The fact is that, once I do the things the way it's meant to be done, I did't have the problem anymore (by now).Anyway, if the problem appears again, I will tell it in the forum, and maybe will send a mail to precissionmanuals staff.

Gents,It seems you two have the same problem and one of you have found the cuplrit. If you do not engage your engine generators you will drain the battery. When battery voltage is low enough some electrical equipment, like the radios, will cease to function. There's a reason why crews are following checklists... ;-)Hope it helps,
