Captain Randazzo..Congratulations on your upcomming addition to the family!!! (Not the Airbus :))I must say I am rather intrigued by the announcement of the upcomming goodies. Cant wait to see how cool the VC in FSX will be.Although now with all the addons of traffic, passengers, and vatsim there is only a few things missing. And one of them is the actual Crew Interaction.I am sure you as a real world pilot appreciate having a copilot or another crew member in the cockpit to help you out, however for us the virtual flight simmers it is a pretty dull flight on the 747 across the ocean without a single word said (unless online). I am sure that a lot of people other than me would love to see fsnet gates.to fully compatible with 747-400. So I was wondering if you are willing to reconsider or think about this. I think there is a couple of people over at Stevens Airline that would take advantage of it.Anyway, If it is not possible for some reason, I was unable to find it on the forum. As the developer of gates.to has stated, it is a rather simple process. Perhaps you could inform me once and for all on all your intentions with this idea, as to me it would probably be the biggest and most important addition to flight sim, after your products.Sincerely,Nick Matveev737 Fleet Captain, Stevens [email protected]

Nick-"Rather Simple."HAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAH(okay- maybe laughing that much borders on impolite, sorry!) HAHAHHAAH....6 million+ lines of code... NOTHING is simple, nick. It is simple to pass things back and forth between user machines using network connectivity, yes- but managing the airplane simulation and prioritization for systems and switchology, etc is not a drag and drop simplicity. I'm sure the authors of that application are well intentioned- but they really are not able to accurately comment on how easy or difficult it might be to add such functionality to an airplane that uses so little of the imbedded MSFS functionality.... We are in that position- and I assure you it is a complex process that needs to be part of the design-build process for the airplane from "day one."We see this technology coming- and yes it is something to be monitored. We will wait to see what latent capabilities FSX has to facilitate this efficiently before we invest much development effort into it.I can tell you that it is not something I would not expect to see retrofitted into the 400 or even the MD11. It is something that would have to be part of the development plan from early in the products development cycle- so future products are a for better bet for such technology. All that said: It's way too early to know and there are a number of things i cannot openly discuss... ;-)
