April 27, 200620 yr Can anyone from PMDG help me resolve the confusion with the Cost Index input on the FMC?According to the manual it states "The cost index number is a scale value from 00 to 99 (0000 to 9999 on actual aircraft)...". What is the FMC looking for? A 2 digit number or a 4 digit number? English can be very confusing sometimes! Also, in your recent tutorials, the example given says to input the value 124 for Cost Index. This is certainly more than the max.99 so it would lead me to assume that we enter in the data wit a max. of 4 digits. If so, then what real use is it to input 124 instead of 00? Will it make that much difference to the FMC calculations? In need of englightenment!!!

Just enter for example 80 and be done.Michael J.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/for...argo_hauler.gifhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-beta.jpg Michael J.
