May 12, 200620 yr Hi,looking through the manuals and the differences etc from pax to cargo, is the BOW meant to be the same for both planes? surely they are different?I was getting a bit fed up on trying to fly the bird as NO WHERE can i find anything to help me properly submit correct fuel data etc via a plan builder like fsbuild etc, (there is no 744f airfile for that). So everytime I go and think ill fly a nice long haul today I end up not getting anywhere because I dont really want to go through the written out fuel calculations each time.. (note asking about BOW earlier)..aometimes I dont have the time to concentrate for that anyhow, general life interuptions etc at ones home..So may I just ask, how are most of you these days dealing with planning a correct flight plan, to be able to show fuel needed, and be simple enough to do on a regular basis seeing as no flight planner seems to be able to deal with the 744f...Your views, opinions etc will be greatly appreciated. I must be getting older or something because my head just wont relax in such planning no more lol.. sigh. Thanks in advance,JC
May 12, 200620 yr JCOpen the Aircraft.CFG of the 400F with a note editor and scrow down, you will see the BOW. Use this figure in the FSBUILD BOW of the PAX version. Now remember to use the ZFW value that you generated from the load editor (400F)for the FMC programming (Do not use the FSBUILD ZFW to program FMC). This will give you a VERY good fuel calculation for the 400F. thnx Gus
May 12, 200620 yr well, ideally in a perfect world, i'd want dispatch to deal with fuel planning. since, alas, we can't, i use the FMC to determine how much fuel one would need.load her up with fuel and freight, then initialise fmc, then from there, on the PROG 2 page you can determine how much fuel you can add or subtract as appropriate referring to your reseve fuel.tomas Tom James
