July 24, 200223 yr BTD, Over Sandtoft now (Practice) dont get close, I dont want to knock you outta the air ;-)
July 24, 200223 yr Here's my ip right now 64.173.199.100 (at tradeIP if you want to join from there). However I'm not sure where my plane is at (LOL -- I landed the jet and it kept going for a mile or two as I avoided trees and such -- even with full brakes I couldn't slow down.
July 24, 200223 yr Okay, I'm at 64.173.199.100 (via tradeip). This is a practice (but watch out, as I'm not good at flying the F16).
July 24, 200223 yr To use AI radar in multi-user flights, you need something that is an add-on, and that works with FSUIPC.The program is called AI Bridge, I believe.I think the original is hosted with FSUPIC at www.schiratti.com, but I know for a fact that it's also available from www.fsflightmax.com (a fine, fine commercial add-on, I might add). The AI Bridge program is in the forum in the Download section.Try Schiratti first, though.--Tony
July 24, 200223 yr Danny is not able to connect to me, although my connection seems okay (I can ping him). He suggested it might be some kind of firewall, although I am a bit lost since if there is one it is strictly inadvertant (I have a DSL connection through a Linksys router, but I see no settings anywhere that talk about a firewall). If anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate it. Even thought I think we'll be just fine (because Michael the mapmaker will be hosting the "Rea" event) I'd love to get this worked out so I could host an event some time in the future.
July 24, 200223 yr Ive been MP'ing at Sandtoft with BTD. He'll be down in around 1 hour so I suggest we get a move on, he'll not be able to hold that thing much longer :DJust a quick note to those not used to MP, a collision will register even though your a hundred feet away from another craft so be careful approaching the baton holder. If the baton holder crashes on this flight, the challenge is lost.
July 24, 200223 yr Hey, tell us: Are you using to PCs at the same time? Both your Landing, and your location, and also your "I got It" messages have the same time and date stamp. Just wondering.
July 24, 200223 yr Hy!Maybe this will bring us into some troubles regarding the screenshot. If I remember correctly, the baton-holder and at least two fighters has to be on this shot. On the other hand we have to keep the area around the baton-holder free. I can imagine that the fighters will be a little bit far away to be identified...Has anyone any suggestions regarding this?Danny(near EDFU)
July 24, 200223 yr Thanks for the warning -- I, for one, will stay away from the baton holder and will surely not fly the jet.To clarify, for those of us waiting here:1) Apparently due to my router I can't host a MP (at least Danny and I couldn't figure it out with the time remaining). That shouldn't be a problem as the other Michael said he'd host as soon as he got home (sometime in the next 45 minutes, I do believe).2) Michael should post his MP as soon as he can, for us to join in.3) At this point in time we have one confirmed fighter pilot (Danny). Lance said he would be flying the Commander 115T -- is this another fighter? Please say it is: otherwise *someone* needs to fly escort (and while I'm willing to *try* in the F16, my preliminary tests show that I can neither fly slow enough nor figure out where someone is well enough to act as escort).
July 24, 200223 yr I am going to try Multi Play for first time in MSFS2002. Do we need or use any communications? Keyboard? What? I have not set up Roger Wilco as of yet on this total new installation. Can we fly Multiplay on this without commnications? What IP has been settled on? Any?
July 24, 200223 yr Yes, you don't need Roger Wilco -- there is a "chat" window available that should be more than adequate. We're still waiting on Michael to post his IP, so sit tight.
