Weather Function

Featured Replies

Hello,Any way for the weather function to be activated (via update/purchase) for the PAX 747 ??I also kinda miss my map function, I know there is one but it doesn't provide all the details I wanted (would like to know more info about the ICAO or just can't indentify it always by memory, also would like to know when I cross a different state etc.). If not availible, what do other users use? Thanks so much,Martijn

I guess by weather function you are referring to a weather radar.PMDG has stated several times that it is impossible to simulate a weather radar at the level of realism they strive for. Therefore they won't include one in their products. As for the map function, you can't expect it to have more functions than the real thing. ;)GreetingsKarsten

Seconding Karsten's statement about PMDG's feelings on WXRAD I'd like to note a temporary solution many of us use are radars from other companies. I personally use reality-xp.com's Weather Radar. Naturally I cannot have it integrated into the MFD as we would all like.Hopefully FS-X will allow PMDG to do this. If so, expect to see it on the 737-NGX or Airbus A320.I'd -really- love to see PMDG do displays like the reality-xp guys do. Their analogue and digital instruments are gorgeous.
