737 NG 600/700 FMC Problems

Recommended Posts

Guest woodster757

Hi there everyone,New to this so please be gentle if this is a more dumb question than it seems. Is there a way to upgrade the database of the FMC in the 600/700 737 that I have? The FMC in the PSS 777 Add-on I have has many more SID's/STARS in the database however I prefer flying the 737 as I find the Aircraft controls more realistic. Came to fly LFRS - EGNX and there are no SID's or STARS to route me correctly. Can anyone help? PS I keep reading about FSUIPC ?? What is it and why is it so important?ThanksJason

I'd like to introduce you to PMDG OPS, there is a wiki-based library of information including an article of navigation procedures. See http://ops.precisionmanuals.com/wiki/SIDSTARSFSUIPC is important because it provides an ability for add-ons to communicate with FS9 or earlier. Generally, if you install an add-on that needs it, an unregistered version is provided with the installation files. The registered version ($) is nice to have but not essential to enjoying moderated levels of flightsim experience.P.S.: All navdata needs periodic updating, at least once every two months. Most aviation products issued by the FAA are published every 28 or 56 days.
