The latest free AIRAC from NAVDATA is missing the new Bangkok Airport - VTBSIs there any way to manually edit the AIRAC and add this aiport? If I try to enter a route say VTCCVTBS the FMC with the latest AIRAC will say invalid data because it's missing VTBS from the airports data.I want to be able to fly into Bangkok with the PMDG birds and other payware for that matter. I can't do a normal flight if the airport is missing in the FMC.Any ideas? Here are the charts for VTBS:http://www.jeppesen.com/wlcs/index.jsp?sec...nt=hubwatch.jsphttp://www.cpavirtual.org/images/banners/MyNewCrapBanner.jpgEric Thornton - CX001 - http://www.virtualairline.org

VTBS is to be opened this month, thus replacing VTBD as Bangkok intl...It may be included in upcoming AIRAC cycles.A freeware scenery was annouced on Avsim.com - can someone provide a link ?I wonder about installing AI traffic there. Any feedback would be appreciated.Regards.

Yeah it opens September 28 at 3AM.I want to be able to start flying out of the new airport as soon as it opens. The freeware airport is available from SIAMAVSIM.comAnd yes you can transfer all of your VTBD AI to the new aiport. I uploaded the AFCAD for this airport yesterday and you can find it here on Avsimhttp://www.cpavirtual.org/images/banners/MyNewCrapBanner.jpgEric Thornton - CX001 - http://www.virtualairline.org

I can't figure this out.Ok say you have a new airport. The scenery & AFCAD work with functioning ILS on both runways.Lets say the latest AIRAC has approaches into both runways. In this case 19L & 19R. You can select the ILS approaches in the PMDG FMC.Only problem now are the ILS frequencies and course heading. Where does the PMDG FMC get the ILS frequency information? From the AIRAC data or the scenery AFCAD ILS data?Does anyone know????http://www.cpavirtual.org/images/banners/MyNewCrapBanner.jpgEric Thornton - CX001 - http://www.virtualairline.org

Do you know where I can find SID-STAR charts for the new Bangkok intl airport VTBS in order to create my own sid-star file for the PMDG 744 (in Thai colors of course !) ?Concerning the AI traffic, I got your afcad file on Avsim, but I don't have the solution to export my traffic (I use the freeware PAI project) to this airport... I feel lonely with a huge airport for me and my superb 744...

It seems to be a long work to replace all VTBD codes with VTBS (for all aircrafts scheduled to flight there) in the flightplans.txt file... Is it the only way ?Thanks.

I managed to do it Alex ! Thanks for the short but accurate explanation...I had to open the flightplans.txt file with MS Worpad and replace VTBD with VTBS with the edit function, add VTBS coordinates and code in the airports.txt file, put the correct Afcad (from Erict) in the new VTBS scenery, and fly there with my 744 in Thai colors to check if everything is in place...It's solid rock ! I just miss a good sid-star for VTBS, then operational flights can begin (I will try to create my own temporary sid-star file with the available charts until I find a good one).I will soon make a video to illustrate the good work. I hope that the recent "coup d'
