AUTO THROTTLE

Featured Replies

Hello... just a quick question. I've loaded all the necessary info in the FMC, but somehow, whenever i am at the tresh-hold and want to engage the auto-throtle, this one won't engage, and a light illuminates in the front panel near the ND. Thus, i have to T/O and climb with the throttle manually... For the info, the Flight director swith is turned on. The A/T throttle WILL NOT turn on. I have tried to find the answer in the manual, and unless i missread or didn't find the appropriate answer, i'd love someone to help me with this one...Cheers.Mat

Is this the 744 or the 737; if its the 737 look up at your overhead make sure you have your generators on.

Sorry bout that... it's the 737 NJ... And all generators are on...

>Sorry bout that...>> it's the 737 NJ... And all generators are on...You need to ensure theyre on; if you cant flip the switch for the AT or it will turn on the right back off it means your generators arent on. Theyre not, this is one of the most asked questions here. Make sure the generators are on. You may have had them on with the APU running then once your engines were up turned off the APU before engaging the gens from your engines?

For some inexplicable reason, the 747 is doing this to me nowadays too. All is set according to procedure, but when I click on the toga screw in the dash, nothing happens, and the engines dont spool up for takeoff.I also have to use my own thrust manually.I have flown the 747 probably for 200 hours already, and never had this problem before.Any ideas gents and ladies.AnthonyCape TownSouth Africa
