I wish PMDG would spend some time and capital on a simple FS Navigator styled addon (drag and drop), which we could visually build routes and export them to the various flight management systems of the aircraft they produce.In it, we could set up our SIDS / STARS / WAYPOINTS etc from TOGO to touchdown, then export as a comapny route.FSNav was one of FS2004's greatest addons and died with FSX.Please could PMDG explore this idea and action it to simply things a bit?RegardsAnthony ReesCape TownSouth Africa

Man, I wish that PMDG would just scrap all their other planned aircraft after the 737NGX and begin work on the 787 with haste.They already have good working relations with Boeing and all the work has been done on Boeing's side in terms of realistic / level D simulation already.One feature that rocks on the 787 is the electronic flight bag built into the ND (See video). You can view the runways and taxi wayson the ND. Awesome stuff. I took their static simulator for a spin at the Cape town air show a while back. Everything was so familiar and it wasa breeze to take off, fly circuits and land without any assistance from anyone.The argument that because the aircraft hasn't entered service yet isn't a realistic excuse not to model it and develop it NOW!from what's already been done.Come on PMDG, be the first to realistically simulate the World's future, most popular aircraft.I know you can do it and I know that you know it will be your best seller ever!

I agree on the dreamliner idea for future PMDG developement.I took their official demo cockpit sim for a spin at the last FAYB airshow in Cape Town last year.The cockpit layout is very familiar, similar to the 737NG.I felt right at home in it.I took off, did a 20 minute circuit and landed no problem.Freaked the demo staff out, not being a pilot. A SA Airlink J41 had to do a forced landing after take-off from Durban International (FADN) South Africa yesterday.The airraft appeared to have lost engine power or had a bird strike just after take off, rendering it into a glider.The pilot's quick thinking had them do a forced landing on a short school field in a high density neighbourhood about 1km from the runway.The aircraft skidded over a road and through a concrete fence, which broke the aircraft in two just over the wings.A municipal worker who was moving the grass verge next to the school was struck by the aircraft's wings and sustained serious injuries to his legs.The aircraft fell silently, according to witnesses.The aircraft had no passengers at the time, as is was destined for Pietermaritzburg (FAPM) to collect passengers.Luckily it was a public holiday, or many kids at the school would have been killed, as it was the time when they arrive at school and play on the field. Also, motor vehicles would have been parked on the road to drop off kids where the aircraft skidded.Both pilots (one male [captain] and one female [first officer]) were trapped in the cockpit for two and a half hours before being freed. Their injuries were extensive and it appears both their ankles were broken as the underbelly crumpled like a tin can. A flight attendant was also seriously injured.Luckily everyone has survived thus far. Miraculously the plane did not ignite because the fuselage and wings were extensively damaged.
