December 16, 200619 yr Hello ...I wonder if it is possible to set max feet per minute descent so in drastic change of winds the plane do not go into 400 feet per minute at FL300 when in VNAV mode.Or when descending ...Is it possible to have a max-rate od descending "feet per minute" let say .. "2000" or 2500 while in VNAV mode. And one more silly question ...Information about the weather conditions for descent ... I use them from ASV-weather add-on. But I can certainly modify it just by watching the wind direction and speed?Best regards Artur Scholl
December 17, 200619 yr There is no way to modify FPM while in VNAV. If you desire to regulate this simply engage V/S mode. Best,Randy J. Smith<<>> Randy J Smith
December 17, 200619 yr Commercial Member VNAV is not a vertical speed mode. It does two things - follows a best economy vertical path through the air between constrains (VNAV PTH mode) and pitches to maintain an airspeed (VNAV SPD). The only real way to command a specific vertical speed is gonna be V/S mode... Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
