Hello I have been looking on avsim for an heat effect for the 744. I have a question can you add an engine effect for the 744 and I yes can you tell me how to add it in and which one is it.I just want to make my 744 more realistic.Because there should be some heat visible to the eye when the enigine is above 20 % N1. PMDG why didint you include the engine heat effect on the 744 ?Thank you for your time.=============================== REVO .http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpg http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/checkcapt.jpghttp://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u132/REVO321/lsd1.jpg http://www.captainsim.com/user/dl/b757/752_users_banner.gif

I think you can find some 2d effects if you do a search of avsim.. You could try playing with the contact points.

"PMDG why didint you include the engine heat effect on the 744 ?"Probably because there isn't a way to do it without the effect looking cheesy, like it does in LOMAC.

This really has to be function of the graphics engine to be done right. There's a few FPS games out there that do it pretty convincingly, but FS (even X) has nothing like this. You have to use shader effects on the card to do it.

>looking cheesy, like it does in LOMAC.What do you mean? The heat effect in LOMAC is AWESOME.However this could be useful for adding heat shimmer http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=80571But I warn you, there is no way to intigrate it seperatly for all four engines and it doesn´t look very good.
