Help with PMGD 737 A/T

Featured Replies

Okay, I give up.I just bought the 737 this past weekend. I've scoured the docs to the best of my understanding (no, I'm not stupid) but I can't figure out the solution to my problem.I program the FMC, no problem, set my altitude on autopilot, turn on the FD, but when I try to arm the A/T, I just get a little warning light coming on that says something like "AT FIRST" (kinda hard to read.)Now what's the obvious thing I'm missing? Please help!

Hi nameless !!!Are you starting from a cold and dark cockpit ?.If yes: have you turned on the engine generators ?. If you haven't: the autothrottle will not work properly.Jose Luis.

"the autothrottle will not work properly."... and an awful lot of other electrically powered systems on the aircraft, too :) The aircraft is probably running on Battery power... Don't be surprised if everything but the engines die after half an hour or so.Cheers.Q>

Turned them on and works fine now! Thanks
