I only want the FS9 PMDG 747-400 working in FSX ?

Featured Replies

I only want the FS9 PMDG 747-400 working in FSX, not the panel , is that possible?. I tried it but all moving parts do not work and the gear is in the wrong position. I wish the plane could be seperated from the panel, than there would be no problem by using only the aircraft. Best regards, martijn

Martijn:I'm not quite sure what you mean. The panel and the airframe are inextricably linked with a myriad of systems, both those surface apparent and those underlying and quite subtle. How on earth would there be a separation possible? If it is a 747 visual model you are looking for there are some excellent freeware alternatives. It is the systems modeling and flight physics, all controlled through the panels, that separates the PMDG from all else......As far as PMDG's airplane working in FSX......that would be worth exploring as a work around- ONLY IF the only changes they made were visual eye-candy. In that case it might be useful (if possible) to save some $. My limited experience with FSX shows tremendous (future) potential and huge present potential. IF PMDG HAS DONE IT RIGHT AND KEPT LOD kept LOD (level of detail) to correct polygon counts while maintaining and improving on visual detail......and added the physical modeling differences in FSX- it will be a runaway success like all their other products. If it is doggy in performance, and only eye-candy based it will not be the success it was in FS9.......but only an actual release, and user reports will tell.Best-Carl F.
