November 10, 200718 yr Was there any fix for the displays not reappearing after a reset of the flight without having to go back out and restart everything?Mine are okay until a crash and it resets or I want to do another flight and go out and start at the new airport. Then it is blank city.http://www.virtualpilots.org/signatures/vpa475.png John VeldthuisSpecs: ASUS X79-DELUXE | Intel Core i7-5960X Extreme @ 4.2Ghz | Gigabyte GeForce GTX980 | 32GB Ram | Cooler Master HAF 932 case | ASUS PB279Q, 4K UHD, 27" Monitor | Windows 8.1 | Segate 2x2TB 7200rpm drives, SanDisk 2x256GB SSD| Corsair Hydro Series H105, Watercooling kit
November 11, 200718 yr Author Well after doing some hunting today I discovered that after a reset the plane seems to go in a cold/dark sort of state with switches in all sorts of weird modes and things running but not.How I now fix it is to shut everything down on the engines, put the switches back in their places and then fire up from real cold/dark and we are away again with no need to reload.Tried loading a panel state in but that did not work either.http://www.virtualpilots.org/signatures/vpa475.png John VeldthuisSpecs: ASUS X79-DELUXE | Intel Core i7-5960X Extreme @ 4.2Ghz | Gigabyte GeForce GTX980 | 32GB Ram | Cooler Master HAF 932 case | ASUS PB279Q, 4K UHD, 27" Monitor | Windows 8.1 | Segate 2x2TB 7200rpm drives, SanDisk 2x256GB SSD| Corsair Hydro Series H105, Watercooling kit
November 11, 200718 yr Commercial Member John,Do you have the correct dll.xml and fsx.cfg entries for the gauges? This sounds a lot like that issue where everything doesn't get initialized properly. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
November 11, 200718 yr Author I have corrected my dll.xml file and sorted all that out so there is no issue with that.I have just taken a look at my fsx.cfg file and find there are two entries for FSUIPC.dll and also for the all the 744X stuff. I have just removed them and will let them recreate the next flight. Unfortunately that will not be until tomorrow now as I have to go to work. Will let you know how I get on.http://www.virtualpilots.org/signatures/vpa475.png John VeldthuisSpecs: ASUS X79-DELUXE | Intel Core i7-5960X Extreme @ 4.2Ghz | Gigabyte GeForce GTX980 | 32GB Ram | Cooler Master HAF 932 case | ASUS PB279Q, 4K UHD, 27" Monitor | Windows 8.1 | Segate 2x2TB 7200rpm drives, SanDisk 2x256GB SSD| Corsair Hydro Series H105, Watercooling kit
November 12, 200718 yr Author Update:I tried another flight today and then shut down FSX. I then checked the FSX.cfg and DLL.xml and everything in them looks fine. Nothing out of place. All have CR/LF at end of lines.I then restarted FSX and started another flight. Now this works 100% each time when I first start everything is fine. I then taxied and purposely crashed into a building forcing a crash reset. On the reset it sounds like the engines are running but all the displays are blank. Going to the overhead reveals heaps of switches now off including bleeds/battery/IRS/Fuel pumps/Hydraulics and a few more. I then shut down to a cold/dark and go through a power up procedure and it comes to life again. However it will simply not reset to the same condition it was in when I first started the flight. I have tried reinstalling and this has not fixed it. Tried loading a panel state that is normally alive and same result.http://www.virtualpilots.org/signatures/vpa475.png John VeldthuisSpecs: ASUS X79-DELUXE | Intel Core i7-5960X Extreme @ 4.2Ghz | Gigabyte GeForce GTX980 | 32GB Ram | Cooler Master HAF 932 case | ASUS PB279Q, 4K UHD, 27" Monitor | Windows 8.1 | Segate 2x2TB 7200rpm drives, SanDisk 2x256GB SSD| Corsair Hydro Series H105, Watercooling kit
November 12, 200718 yr Commercial Member Is this only happening after a crash reset? I'm not sure the plane's systems can handle that kind of shock where the whole panel gets reset like that. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
November 13, 200718 yr Author No it happens if I change flights as well.Example. I land at an airport and then want to do another flight. I hit esc key and end flight. Then I load in the next flight I want to do and FSX starts the loading as usual. When the screen appears the engines sound like they are running. The PFD/ND look like they do when the IRS is not set. Then after a second they go blank.Going to the overhead screen most of everything is turned off. Turn them all back on and reset the IRS stuff. Now the interesting bit is that I now open the engine bleeds and look at the engine display and they are running at idle without having to start them. It is not a cold/dark state but just most things turned off. This never ever happened in the FS9 model.http://www.virtualpilots.org/signatures/vpa475.png John VeldthuisSpecs: ASUS X79-DELUXE | Intel Core i7-5960X Extreme @ 4.2Ghz | Gigabyte GeForce GTX980 | 32GB Ram | Cooler Master HAF 932 case | ASUS PB279Q, 4K UHD, 27" Monitor | Windows 8.1 | Segate 2x2TB 7200rpm drives, SanDisk 2x256GB SSD| Corsair Hydro Series H105, Watercooling kit
