777

Yes, I know...I shouldn't be asking for this but now with PSS down the proverbial drain is there any chance that PMDG is considering a 777?With your knowledge of Boeing systems...One can only hope since there doesn't seem to be a decent Triple7 out there, as far as I know. For FS9, of course! :-hah Cheers! :-beerchug Tony

What's the difference between a 747 and a 777 that makes so much people want a 777 with an almost perfect 747 available?

Is it wrong to want a whole bunch of different planes with PMDG quality? Of course when you have too many good airplanes it becomes difficult to chose which one to fly. :)

Tom,Of course it's not wrong at all. But keep in mind that when you get simulations as advanced as these it is hard to keep up with the different SOPs for each aircraft type. From a personal point of view I tend to keep to the NG as my aircraft to master. Despite I have to learn the ins and outs of whatever type we are testing at the moment I come back to the NG or Classic 737 as my choice when doing a flight just for the fun of it because this is the aircraft I know best. Just like in the real world line pilots are usually not type rated on anything more than one or two different aircraft at any given time for this very reason. Then again this is all simulation and fun eh? ;-)Just my C$0.02 on the matter,

I particularly like your signature line, Mats ;-) Claudio, when one is flying for a VA 98% of the time it's good to be able to do different routes with different aircraft. Besides, taking this hobby a bit too seriously can be hazardous to one's sanity which is why different programs such as the newly releases XPax add a bit of the chuckle factor to it all. This is NOT the real world and it's just entertainment. If it leads to someone actually getting into the business then more power to them.Do you fly the 744 ALL the time? I'll wager not.Cheers! :-beerchug Tony

>Do you fly the 744 ALL the time? I'll wager not.I do not even have the 744 :)I stick to the 737 which allows my a whole lot of fun as i mainly fly in europe, but occasionally i can also venture a little further as the range allows. As i see it, but it's really my personal vision, 8hrs staring at the monitor doing literally nothing is not my idea of fun ;)When i fly, i fly online and get the best from it.A Rome-Stuttgart flight is a lot of fun, and it's my main route.Rome usually has a lot of traffic and Innsbruck approach is always difficult and thrilling but manned by nice and capable atcs.An intercontinental flight on the other hand would have me set the FL to 420, and after 10 mins... practically being forgotten by the whole world as i would climb higher then everybody else and stay there for the most part of the day. That's my vision of it, that's why i ask.Besides, the fact that i can't understand all the fuss about a 777 doesn't make it wrong :)

MatsI was only being half serious. I was just saying why not want everything. I already have too many addon aircraft as it is. It's hard to decide which one to fly. I fly the 737-800 for a living so I have been concentrating on the 767 (should fly the real one eventually) and 747 (don't see how I will ever get to fly one of these in real life). You do forget the little details of a plane if you try to switch around too much though.
