Waypoint Formatting

Recommended Posts

The 2 manuals I have on the FMC are slightly ambiguous in this area. One manual only says that "valid waypoints" may be entered on the TO side of the ROUTE page. The other manual says "Following are valid wpt *identifiers* for TO line:.... Place-bearing/distance...." (but doesn't actually use the term "enter").One might assume from reading both manuals that the term "valid" ties the two statements together. Indeed, when I entered a PBD waypoint on the ROUTE page of Precision Simulator (PS1), it was accepted. HOWEVER, the Honeywell ROUTE page does not allow the deletion of waypoints, therefore, it would be advisable to enter all pilot created waypoints on the ROUTE page anyway.Hope this makes sense.Cheers.Q> Ян
