February 9, 200818 yr I would like to share a few tips I have found to take some load off of the CPU with regards to the panel.- Do not enter long distance way points during your initial programming of the FMC, update them once airborne.- Keep TCAS off until airborne.- Keep the map range between 5-100 miles.- Keep all navaids (airports, waypoints etc.) off on the Nav display. If you have any other tips please help us all enjoy our flight simming experience more by sharing your suggestions.Have a good day,Alex
February 10, 200818 yr Alex,As a Vista/FSX/ASX user (fool?), I have found that by exiting all the applications shown on my toolbar (bottom right) I get 'acceptable' frame rates from my PC. I do not yet use any FSX Sceneries. However, problems with major en-route wind changes caused by FSX make flying the B744 at present a major trial. Without any weather, flying gets to be quite boring!Cheers, R Cheers, Richard Intel Core i7-7700K @ 4.2 GHz, 16 GB memory, 1 TB SSD, GTX 1080 Ti, 28" 4K display Win10-64, P3Dv5, PMDG 748 & 777, Milviz KA350i, ASP3D, vPilot, Navigraph, PFPX, ChasePlane, Orbx
February 10, 200818 yr Commercial Member Pete Dowson, with his excellent utility FSUIPC, is trying hard these days to make sure that the extreme wind changes that FSX exhibits are a thing of the past. Please visit his forum here:http://forums.simflight.com/viewforum.php?f=54That way, you can also help out in fixing this problem that's been plaguing FSX since its release.
