Strange Installation Order

Recommended Posts

Guest JTEK99

Hi, folks. I've checked the PMDG Wiki and it's slightly helpful in this particular matter, but I'm thinking that my situation might be unique. I currently have installed for FS9:PMDG 737NG 800/900 (Boxed, standalone)PMDG 744 PaxPMDG 744 FreighterAll are up-to-date.Oddly, now after a few years, I'm getting a hankering for flying the 600/700 series which I purchased before the three listed above but hadn't re-installed in a couple of years. Now, if I install the 600/700 variant, will I have to be worried that everything is going to crash out? Will there be anomalies with the 737 series? The PMDG wiki points out that I can simply backup the PMDGOptions.dll file found in the /modules folder, then replace it after intalling the "737 series". Will that work in this case as well? Thanks very much for any information!

I would of thought that the newer 737 panel graphics and config files that came with the 800/900nwill also get overwritten. Might be easier just doing a reinstall from the start...

Ack! I was hoping not to have to do that (livery backups, config alterations, etc.), but I can see the point.I wish there was a simple way. :(
