October 17, 200817 yr Hi Guys:I trawled through the manual and thought i found the answer, but didn't. That said, FSX crashed shortly after (video driver issue - now solved - thanks to Mike at FSGS), so the sim may just not have recognised what i was trying to do.On arrival at EGLL, i hard tuned the ILS (old habit) and then upon getting closer the Morse code kicked in. Looking down at the radio stack i clicked every bcn, vor button etc, but could not get the thing to shut up.The buttons popped in and out, but i couldnt get them to turn as i would expect.I was in VC at the time, using the VC radio panel, not the view windowCheersPaul Is there a way to auto ignore trolls, flamers and any post with a +1 in it here?
October 17, 200817 yr Commercial Member Paul, It is much easier to operate the radio/audio controls if you assign a keyboard command from the PMDG menu to bring up a 2D pop-up comms window in VC (combined view of radios, audio and xpndr panels). The various volume switches cannot be turned in VC. They can be pulled out (volume on) or in (mute) but to adjust volume you have to use the 2D panel or the pop-up in VC that I mentioned. This is I think the only functinality (compared to the 2D panel) we left out of the VC because it would require a vary large number of mouse events to be handled. To answer your original question, if the black IDENT pushbutton is off (no ON displayed) then all morse idents and marker sounds will be muted (ILS, VOR, DME etc.) regardless of the volume switches positions. This switch is by default off, so if you did hear the ILS ident I guess you accidentally turned it on? Michael FrantzeskakisPrecision Manuals Development Grouphttp://www.precisionmanuals.com
October 17, 200817 yr Author Hi Michael. Thanks for the response. That makes sense, and a sensible decision too regarding mouse events :)I shall assign a keyboard command and see how it goes on this trip.CheersPaul Is there a way to auto ignore trolls, flamers and any post with a +1 in it here?
