RTE File documentation.

I'm working on a software application that converts a flight plan generated by RouteFinder to various aircraft FMC formats. Looking at a PMDG route file (EGLL LSZH MD-11 tutorial) reveals lots of 'hmmmmz'.Is there any documentation available for this file? I've found http://ops.precisionmanuals.com/wiki/NAVDATA_Data_Dictionary which only gives information on the NAVDATA files. Is there a similar page for the rte file? Thanks,

Agreed Daryl. However, SimRoutes (and FSRoute.com) both have a lack of recent navigational data. This is something that my application will have sorted out. Given that my application will require the user to have a downloaded (payed) copy of Navigraph's AIRAC I suspect it won't have the same issue SimRoutes has.For now I'm keeping the application personal as I'd still need to sort this out with Navigraph and other parties.

I am currently using the free vroute planner facility (www.vroute.net)which allows you to use your up to date navigraph airac cycle and export as a fsx.pln file. The MD11 FMC supports the pln files anyway, but if you wish , by upgrading to the premium vroute version it will export in the pmdg rte format.CheersDave Allenps. You can also export from vroue into FS Navigator and then re-export into pmdg rte format
