October 24, 200817 yr I'm working on a software application that converts a flight plan generated by RouteFinder to various aircraft FMC formats. Looking at a PMDG route file (EGLL LSZH MD-11 tutorial) reveals lots of 'hmmmmz'.Is there any documentation available for this file? I've found http://ops.precisionmanuals.com/wiki/NAVDATA_Data_Dictionary which only gives information on the NAVDATA files. Is there a similar page for the rte file? Thanks, David Walschots

October 24, 200817 yr Author Agreed Daryl. However, SimRoutes (and FSRoute.com) both have a lack of recent navigational data. This is something that my application will have sorted out. Given that my application will require the user to have a downloaded (payed) copy of Navigraph's AIRAC I suspect it won't have the same issue SimRoutes has.For now I'm keeping the application personal as I'd still need to sort this out with Navigraph and other parties. October 25, 200817 yr I am currently using the free vroute planner facility (www.vroute.net)which allows you to use your up to date navigraph airac cycle and export as a fsx.pln file. The MD11 FMC supports the pln files anyway, but if you wish , by upgrading to the premium vroute version it will export in the pmdg rte format.CheersDave Allenps. You can also export from vroue into FS Navigator and then re-export into pmdg rte format
